Who We Are

Mission Statement

The Madison County Chamber of Commerce is dedicated to improving the communities and businesses it serves, while honoring the county’s unique agricultural heritage. The chamber was founded in 1959 with the mission to enhance the economic, civic, and cultural growth of Madison County, and to act as a “voice of the community”. This mission will be accomplished through the development and support, including both participation and financial commitment of the membership.

We serve the businesses, communities and residents of Madison County.

Message from our Leadership

Our year in 2024 has been another journey of rapid growth in membership and a continued effort to educate our Members of all the benefits at the Madison County Chamber of Commerce. We have brought in 93 new Members, and we surpassed 500 total Members. As promised, we have added a part-time Membership Assistant to help with the increased workload because of adding 192 Members in the last two years. We have added 2 new Chamber Member Benefits through the Southern Ohio Chamber Alliance (SOCA). We also increased the number of events that we provided in 2024 by adding our first ever Rummage Sale, our first ever Fall Fest that was a free event for families and over 300 were in attendance, and we also had for the first time ever a Holiday Market that saw lines out the door and lots of excitement for those in the mood for Holiday shopping. All these events happened because we had so many amazing volunteers and community members participating.

The Madison County Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors has helped guide the Chamber to new and improved processes and increased the professionalism of all that we do. This included over $30,000 in capital improvements to the inside of the Chamber offices with new paint and carpeting, painting and updating the shelter house, and replacement of the Storage Shed at the Farm Science Review that was taken out by last year’s tornado. We have seen over 15 new Members join our Safety Council and that has helped us expand our sponsorships at different community events and our Leadership Development Collaborative continues to offer leadership training to our Chamber Members.

Madison County has also continued to see strong momentum in housing and retail development. Industrial and commercial growth is showing a renewed interest in all parts of Madison County. The Madison County Chamber of Commerce will help do everything that we can to continue supporting all those who want to join us on the journey through Madison County!

As we look forward to 2025 and beyond, let’s continue to maintain an attitude of gratitude for the blessings and values that we have in Madison County. Let’s be open to welcoming others who will join us on our journey through 2025. The Madison County Chamber of Commerce Board and Staff continue to have optimism and enthusiasm for what the future holds.

It is with great pleasure and excitement that we present the 2024 Annual Report for the Madison County Chamber of Commerce to the businesses, residents, community leaders and investors who have and will continue to take this journey with us in Madison County.

Chamber Executive Board

Leroi Sengstock

President, 2026 Madison County Chamber Executive Board

Proudly raised in London after my father’s U.S. Army service, I’ve spent my life engaged in the Madison County community. My mother, an RN at Madison County Hospital, inspired me with her dedication—working days and attending night school to achieve her nursing degree. Today, a Little Free Library in Cowling Park honors her commitment to education and community, resolute by Local Girl Scout Troup 2362

My early years, I was always actively involved in local organizations and community initiatives. From all my years in 4-H, to engaging in programs like Madison County Fair board. Experiences that shaped my mind set of what community should be. My energy and dedication are only surpassed by my passion to bring people together, in time of need or a vision for the future.

Professionally, I serve as respected member of the management team at Stanley Electric U.S. Inc., for over 20 years. Where I lead organizational change and oversee operations for a high-volume automotive lighting and electronics manufacturer. My focus on efficiency and customer satisfaction mirrors my commitment to strengthening Madison County’s business community.

As President of the Madison County Chamber, my goal is simple: to strengthen connections, support local businesses, and create opportunities that make Madison County an even better place to live, work, and grow together.
