Request for Applications: Opportunity to Serve as an Intermediary for Ohio’s High School Tech Internship
The High School Tech Internship v3.0 pilot program is a competitive opportunity for Ohio employers to receive reimbursement for establishing a recruitment pipeline by hosting high school interns in tech-related roles. Educational entities will work closely with business partners to apply for this program beginning in January 2023.
While the High School Tech Internship has a solid foundation and worthy mission, the time and resources necessary for educational entities and business partners to implement this program is likely a barrier. The purpose of an intermediary organization will be to alleviate those procedural barriers.
Overview of Expectations
The intermediary will allow the program to be administered in a seamless fashion between the State of Ohio, educational entities, and businesses. Serving as the single point of contact for businesses and educational entities will allow the needs of both to be supported by the intermediary throughout the entirety of the internship process. This support will begin with the recruitment process and last through the end of a student’s placement, including assisting with closeout paperwork and reporting.
Applications are due by 4:59pm on November 22, 2022 to high_school_tech_internship@development.ohio.gov.
