MSOCA’s annual Christmas in the Village kicks off the holiday season in downtown Mt. Sterling on December 6th from 5:00-8:00 PM. A free public event, Christmas in the Village will feature Santa, free kids’ activities, holiday music, an illuminated parade, and much more! The night officially starts with a Christmas Tree lighting ceremony at the Gazebo.
Many businesses, shops, and restaurants in the village’s historic downtown will offer special activities and attractions during Christmas in the Village, from visits with the Grinch, Elf on the Shelf, Olaf, Anna, and Elsa characters to special crafts, face painting, caricatures, or giveaways.
The evening will also feature activities at Town Hall with a Live Nativity, Carriage Rides, Petting Zoo, Holiday Craft Market, and indoors with the Trim-A-Tree contest & silent auction (benefiting the Community Center), Giving Tree (free gloves, hats, and scarfs), and letters to Santa .
